P.R.O.C.L.A.I.M (Children’s) Praise Team

ACC is committed to a comprehensive children’s music ministry using music as a mode of teaching and transmitting the Good News of Jesus Christ.  The goal of our Children’s Music Program is to offer enjoyable musical participation, with educational and performance opportunities that will enrich each child’s faith while developing vocal and instrumental musical talent and musical appreciation.

To achieve this, the Worship and Music Ministries has developed a Summer Music Camp and Christmas Musicals which are announced on an annual basis.  Also, in order to expand the opportunities for more students to be involved we have moved Children’s Choir from our usual Wednesday rehearsal time to Sunday mornings.  In partnership with the Children’s Ministry Department, a PROCLAIM Praise Team has been created which consists of children Grades 1^st through 5^th.

The creation of the PROCLAIM Praise Team by the Music Ministries and Children’s Ministry is very exciting and will be an experience each participant will treasure for years to come.  The guidelines of participation in the PROCLAIM Praise Team includes the following:

• Students will be given the opportunity to make a commitment to join the PROCLAIM Praise Team and will lead Praise and Worship every Sunday during the 9:50 am and 11:15 am Children’s Ministry hours.
• Students in PROCLAIM will also participate in 4 to 6 special performances throughout the year which will include the first, second and third Sunday morning Services, Christmas and Easter. There will also be opportunities to sing solos and participate with the Arizona Chorale and Worship Orchestra.
• Required rehearsals for PROCLAIM are every other Sunday at 11:00 AM in the Children’s Discovery Center (G Building) on the second floor in the “BIG” room. Additional rehearsal time may be scheduled in preparation for Christmas and Easter. 
• Registration in the PROCLAIM Praise Team REQUIRES a commitment to attend all rehearsals and special performances.  Any exceptions must be approved in advance by Beth Grimm, Director of the Children’s Choir and Pastor Greg Schaefer, Pastor of Worship and Music or Nancy Cork, Administrator of Worship and Music.
