Recently, my family experienced part of our house being flooded, which requires us now to live in a hotel while that’s being fixed. And by the time this video airs, we’ll probably still be in that hotel. It’s been an interesting summer for that and other reasons I’m reminded of what someone told me once they said, there’s no changing the future without disrupting the present. As I think back on my personal life journey, there’s been times in my life where I felt overwhelmed by some new or challenging circumstance that suddenly came into my life. The first time I became a parent was a biggie. Next was maybe a new job, new job responsibilities or loss of family members, or close friends, dealing with interpersonal relationships that suddenly cropped up, changes in finances (we’ve been through that a number of times), or simply the daily grind of life like you and I are both facing today during the pandemic. But I have to say that sometimes the intensity of these experiences have led to moments of crises for me, where I had nowhere else to look but up. I’m sure you’ve had similar experiences.
