Our leadership team recognizes that we are simply leaders who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word of God. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ according to Ephesians 4.

Pastors

Bill Meiter, Lead Pastor

Pastor Bill has been in full-time ministry for the past 25 years serving in churches in Southern California, Washington State, and Tempe Arizona! Bill is married to his lovely wife, Jodi, and they have three-adult children. Pastor Bill came to Christ in 1987 while in High School in Danville, California.

He has his Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology and Bachelors Degree in Journalism from Sacramento State University. Some of Pastor Bill’s favorite authors (and speakers) are Dr. RC Sproul; Dr. John MacArthur; Dr, Ligon Duncan; and Pastor Alistair Begg. Pastor Bill is a staunch believer in the the sufficiency of Scripture and the belief that the church should change culture… not adapt to it!

Pastor Bill’s personal interests include: Pick-up basketball… pickleball… the Minnesota Vikings… the Golden State Warriors… sushi… the 49ers… the Florida Gators… riding his bike… studying theology… trying to eat healthy… jogging really slowly (ie. slogging).

Brandon Hilgemann, Associate Pastor

Brandon has served in ministry for over ten years in Arizona, New Mexico, and Virginia. He is also a writer and founder of a popular website for pastors. He has a master’s in Biblical and Theological Studies from Phoenix Seminary and a bachelor’s in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University. Brandon and his wife, Taryn, love being back home in Arizona, where they both grew up. Together, they have two kids: Ashlyn and Jaxon. In his free time, Brandon enjoys family adventures, good books, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, and Phoenix Suns.

Dr. Dave Thye, Worship Pastor

Dave Thye has been in full-time music ministry, Christian education, and professional conducting, serving churches in South Dakota, Kansas, Montana, Texas, and Arizona. Dave and his wife Cheri have two sons, two lovely daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren! Dave grew up in Burlington, Iowa and accepted Christ while in high school. He has a B.A. in music education/ministry from the University of Sioux Falls (Christian college), and Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in Conducting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music. Dave also conducts the Arizona Cantilena Chorale (a select community choir here in the East Valley) and has conducted on famous stages like Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in NYC, Bass Hall in Fort Worth, and several concert venues in Europe. Dave is passionate about God, people, and music! In his freetime, he also enjoys golfing, inspiring music, eating healthy, hiking, and just being with family and friends.

Business Manager

Stacey Kinkel

Stacey joined the ACC team in 2018 and helps keep our finances running smoothly. She has two business degrees, both from Arizona State University. Her work experience includes corporate auditing in the US, Canada and Europe, Christian ministry management and small business. She grew up in Tempe and came to faith in junior high through the student ministries of the church she attended. She is married and has one son. In her spare time, you can find Stacey reading an old classic, working in the garden, or visiting friends over coffee or lunch.
