2017-2018 Theme

Arizona Community Church - Mothers of preschoolers

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, he has sent me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. Luke 4:18-19

What do you long for? What is the thing that your heart craves?

Is it possible that your deepest desire is to be free?

Free from worry.

   Free from feeling stuck.

Free from hustling to be loved.

Free from a heaviness you can’t put your finger on.

Free from thinking you should be someone other than exactly who you are.

At the core, maybe what we are all longing for is to be Free Indeed.

Choosing freedom is a deeply spiritual act, one that our souls long for. That is why this year, we choose wild, unexpected freedom; the kind that brings more laughter and less worry, more contentment and less hustle. Freedom that is so contagious, the people around us are compelled toward their own liberation.

About MOPS at ACC

This journey of motherhood is best traveled with others. Here at MOPS, we want to do just that – provide you with a tribe of supportive women as you navigate the world of motherhood, faith, and life together. MOPS, which stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers”, is for moms with one or more children ages birth to kindergarten. MOPS is part of an international movement to locally connect moms, no matter their personal or faith background, who share this common bond of raising little ones.

What is MOPS?

We believe that it’s just as important for moms to grow as it is to take care of our little ones. Therefore, MOPS exists to serve you and your kids.

While your children play and learn in the care and safety of our on-site MOPS KIDS program, at the Friday meetings, MOPS moms meet to socialize, hear from speakers, engage in creative activities and small group discussion, and share in a kid-uninterrupted breakfast and coffee break. Our hope is that you walk away refreshed, inspired, connected, and ready to brave the day.

While we do have room for all moms, our provided childcare is limited to specific numbers to be sure that each child receives the individual love and attention that they deserve. Childcare spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis, based on RSVP by registering.

MOPS Meetings

Each year MOPS has a theme that inspires our meeting topics, speakers, and outlook. The 2017-2018 theme is “Free Indeed”.

ACC MOPS meets two Fridays per month, from 9:00-11:15 am, beginning August 25, 2017. We hope that you will be able to join us!

NEW! MOPS Thursday Night Social & Bible Study

New this year, we’re offering a Social time and Bible study on Thursday nights from 6:30-8:30pm (2nd & 4th Thursdays of the month – see list above for dates). This is for any moms that are part of the ACC MOPS community. Be sure to RSVP on the registration form when you register!

There is a registration fee for MOPS International. This fee secures your membership with MOPS International and includes a book, annual subscription to “Hello, Darling” magazine, and other MOPS related materials and goodies.

Additionally, there are ACC MOPS local dues that can be paid by semester, or or the entire year for a discounted rate. The local dues assist in the costs of speakers, supplies, crafts, gifts, and hospitality.

The first semester dues ($25) and MOPS International registration fee ($31.95) are due at the beginning of our year (August). The second semester dues are $25 and are due in January for the spring semester. If you wish to pay the full year upfront, a discounted total of $75 is available when you register online.

We want all moms to be able to take part in MOPS. If in financial need, please contact the MOPS Coordinators to discuss payment plans or scholarships.
