The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. – John 10:10 (NIV)
In order to live life to the full, lets:
Have More Fun Fun is often the first thing to go when life gets hectic because it seems frivolous and extravagant. This year we are going to remember that we can still have fun even when life is hard. We are going to let the laundry wait and build a fort with our kids. We’ll stop waiting until everything on our to-do list is finished until we have fun, and do one thing a month just because it makes us happy. This is our year to remember what it feels like to enjoy ourselves.
Fear Less No more fearing what people might think or say. No more letting fear paralyze us or concern about the future rob us of the present. At any given moment, there is courage inside of each of us that may be lying dormant. This year we’ll bring it to life. We’ll change our ways of thinking, calm our anxiety, and surrender our need to control. This is the year of faith over fear, and abundance over scarcity.
Find our People This year we’ll meet our neighbors, learn the name of the cashier at the grocery store, and invite our MOPS table over for dinner. We need our people, and they need us. Maybe it means asking someone we respect to be our mentor, or perhaps it means marching in a parade, throwing candy and inviting other moms to MOPS. Finding our people takes some vulnerability, but it will also mean being known, belonging, and helping others feel the same. Life to the full happens best with people by our side.

About MOPS at ACC

This journey of motherhood is best traveled with others. Here at MOPS, we want to do just that – provide you with a tribe of supportive women as you navigate the world of motherhood, faith, and life together. MOPS, which stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers”, is for moms with one or more children ages pregnancy to kindergarten. MOPS is part of an international movement to locally connect moms, no matter their personal or faith background, who share this common bond of raising little ones.

What is MOPS?

We believe that it’s just as important for moms to grow as it is to take care of our little ones. Therefore, MOPS exists to serve you and your kids.

While your children play and learn in the care and safety of our on-site MOPS KIDS program, at the Friday meetings, MOPS moms meet to socialize, hear from speakers, engage in creative activities and small group discussion, and share in a kid-uninterrupted breakfast and coffee break. Our hope is that you walk away refreshed, inspired, connected, and ready to brave the day.

While we do have room for all moms, our provided childcare is limited to specific numbers to be sure that each child receives the individual love and attention that they deserve. Childcare spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis, based on RSVP by registering.

MOPS Meetings

Each year MOPS has a theme that inspires our meeting topics, speakers, and outlook. The 2019-2020 theme is “To The Full”.

ACC MOPS meets two Fridays per month, from 9:00-11:00 am, beginning August 23rd 2019. We hope that you will be able to join us!
