Phase 2 “40 Somethings”

Sunday Mornings @9:30AM in the E Building

ACCer’s in the later 30’s to early 50’s… We have likely figured out a lot in life, yet there are still real challenges.  Most of us have been softened up by the world and life pounding us.  We have needed help from others and very likely have helped many people through tough times. Thankfully, we are less self-oriented than in our early 30’s and 20’s, forget about the teens.

Significantly, we don’t want to get to our 50’s and 60’s and look back and wish we had learned things and done things for Christ and others.  We certainly do not want to have a damaged marriage, hurt kids or missed opportunities.  We want to grow and apply that learning NOW.   It is time to move on to Phase 2.

Hebrews 5:12-14 12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

Phase 2 is a Class/Community that should be encouraging, and certainly helpful, to empower us all be the kind of people, Christians, parents and spouses that we want to be.  We can become disciple-makers, teachers, influencers and leaders, not merely consumers. The Spirit of God is in us and in our efforts, so when we “get it’ and take steps of faith, WOW, lives change and the bountiful adventure is lived out! (John 10:10)  The early church and thousands of churches and groups have experienced the excitement and momentum of Christians learning and APPLYING what they learned. We would love you to come and be a part of Phase 2.  Give it a try for a month or two.  Better yet, help “make it happen” for you others. See you this Sunday at 9:30 AM in the E bldg.
